Dropbox works just like any other folder on your computer, except for a few differences. Here's how it works:
- Drag files to move around as you normally would
- Any files or folders in Dropbox will be synchronized to Dropbox's servers and any other computer linked to your account.
- Green checkmarks will appear at the top of your files to let you know that they have been synced and are up to date.
Your files are always protected. All data is transferred via SSL and encrypted with ES-256 prior to storage. Place your files in a Dropbox folder on a computer and they will automatically appear on any of your other computers with Dropbox installed (Windows, Mac and Linux). You can even download Dropbox applications from your smartphone or mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry). Everything in your Dropbox is available from the Dropbox website.
Consistent

Information sharing
- Shared folders allow multiple people to collaborate on the same files.
- See other person's changes instantly.
- Use your "public" folder to link directly to files.
- Control who has access to your shared folder. In the process, people kick and share shared files from their computers.

What's New here:
- The Android version has been updated to 186.2.4
- Huge performance enhancement: The client-side sync engine has been redesigned to optimize response time, scale and resource costs. As a result, memory usage is reduced by up to 50 percent. Big changes made to Dropbox are now more efficient and small changes are quicker.
- Better user experience: The initial setup wizard has been redesigned to make it easier to get started using Dropbox. The Mac OS X version has been redesigned for Cocoa use only, which has reduced the size of Mac downloads by 20 percent.
- Selected Sync: You can now choose which folders will be downloaded to which computer, so you don't have to sync the things you need.
- Extended Attribute Sync: Resource forks and other enhanced features are now supported. Resource forks are a field of file that certain applications use to store important data, and most sync programs today completely ignore this, resulting in malicious files appearing on the other end.
